What Is Our Business?

“Business!” exclaimed Jacob Marley’s ghost to the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge. “Mankind was my business... The dealings of my trade were but a drop of water in the comprehensive ocean of my business.”

We started our business as a way to do more for our children. For them, we embrace the discomfort of growth. Two days ago, the lip balm didn't turn out right, forcing us to start the batch over, and we have no idea why. Not knowing how to proceed has led to some tears and frustrations. We have shown this vulnerability to our children. We try to model resilience by turning our failures into something redemptive: connection with each other.

Can we say “Mankind is our business”? Yes, that is what we intend. In our hearts, we connect our daily, small-farm routines to our larger purpose of promoting WELLNESS. In every sense, we are all about WELLNESS, for individuals, families, neighbors, and beyond. 

What is wellness? Pain has been our teacher, as, we are sure, it has been for you. We believe pain should be understood. We strive to share with you the small pieces of the puzzle our pain allows us to understand.

This much we know, there is balm for pain. This balm includes every scrap of truth and beauty we can piece together. Truth and beauty are multiplied as they are shared. Consequently, YOUR wellness is essential to OUR wellness. 

We sincerely hope our little pieces of truth and beauty can combine with yours to create a greater, healthier whole. That is our business.
